Description

Dionaea usually between 6 and 38 cm. Its leaves are shaped like seashells, with irregular barbs at the edges, which resemble teeth. The base of the dionaea leaves has a structure similar to a trap that secretes honey to attract insects. When the insect comes into contact with these structures and is quickly clamped, the leaves quickly close and absorb the insect through secreted mucus.
